Microfluidics Seminar (Held at MUI, 2nd July 2019)

One-day "Microfluidics and its biomedical applications" seminar was held by Avicenna Center of Excellence (ACE) in association with Isfahan University of Medical Science (IUMS) research deputy and applied physiology research center. The event was performed at IUMS on 2nd of July, 2019. Main goals of this seminar was to introduce lab-on-chip technologies to both medical and engineering researchers and to provide them the possibility for turning their microfluidic ideas into real platforms for medical applications. 

In this event, Dr. Samandari, head of ACE microfluidics group, was the key speaker who talked about microfluidics, main biological applications, startups and companies and fundamental fluid mechanics applied in this field. After the presentation, main medical challenges were discussed and microfluidic-based ideas for resolving them were introduced by participants. Finally, best ideas received awards and research grants. 

High level of interests among students, professors and researchers participated in this seminar encouraged us to plan for upcoming events in the bioengineering fields. The future events will be announced by ACE website.
